problem
Traditional VMS platforms often prioritize feature density over usability, resulting in cluttered screens, inconsistent patterns, and visual fatigue. Operators are required to monitor multiple feeds for extended periods, making poor hierarchy and contrast a critical usability failure.
solution
StationX applies a systematic, grid-based design that brings structure to complexity. Visual hierarchy is reinforced through typography weight, spacing, and contrast rather than excessive color. The interface guides the user’s eye naturally, allowing them to interpret information quickly while maintaining situational awareness.
StationX was designed for professionals who spend hours inside complex systems, where clarity isn’t just aesthetic—it’s operational.

The challenge was designing for scale: dozens of cameras, timelines, alerts, and configurations living within a single environment. Instead of simplifying by removing power, the solution was to introduce structure. A disciplined grid system, restrained color usage, and predictable interaction patterns allow users to focus on what matters without visual fatigue.
Every screen was designed to support peripheral awareness—important information is visible at a glance, while deeper controls remain accessible without cluttering the interface. Adobe Illustrator was used to establish a flexible UI framework that could scale across multiple resolutions and layouts.
StationX tells a story of control through order—where complexity is not hidden, but clearly organized and confidently presented.
